Please do not post VERY long links as just the text as it stretches out the entire page. Use the URL BBCode for instances like that.

If you have an Apten Chip it already does all of that. If not, it seems like a hot ticket.

I'm not a fan of this electronic shift improvers. I just feel that you're making the transmission do something it's no designed to do when it hasn't been mechanically modified. Shift kits, like the Baumann, are mechanical mods and that's what I would recommend. I'm doing mine next month, actually. Just called Baumann yesterday to verify what I need.

Are there mech. shift kits for the v6? I didn't think there are, but maybe someone else knows. I know that there are ones for the V8 tranny.

There was one out there for the old(4R55E) pushrod V-6. I can't think of it. Try transgo, of course you can check B&M. And try Hughes performance as well. I had the electronic shift kit on my Explorer. We have been over this discussion in a past thread but basically it increases the voltage to the pump which in turn pumps more. They say that it won't cause undue stress on it stage I but driving it in the drag mode is not good for daily driving. I tried both settings on the Explorer the shift in drag mode is a lot harder and a couple hundred rpms higher than the level I the level I made it 5100 I think instead of the 4900. You could for sure feel it shift level 2 which after my bronco was what I come to expect out of an auto but that was basically a bulletproof C-6 no overdrive so the gas mileage sucked.
