blown head gasket

hey guys.
how can I identify which head gasket may be bad? if I have a blown gasket I'd like to do that side only .
would compression test per cylinder help?

Yes, compression test, or leak down test, or it's possible a scan tool tells you a cylinder is misfiring.

How do you know you have a blown head gasket? In some cases just pulling and looking at the spark plugs would tell you which cylinder(s) to indicate one side vs the other.
