My 06 Explorer is having a rear passenger side brake rotor heating up. I replaced the pads and rotors when I got it 4 months ago. About a month ago I noticed the rotor was getting extremely hot and smoking. So I pulled caliper off and greased the slides and the piston pushed in very easily. Put back together and all was well for a week or so then rotor heated up again. I was checking the temp of rotor with a laser digital thermometer after every use and temps never exceeded 190 degrees. The rear passenger side was always 10 to 20 degrees hotter than the rear drivers side. I replaced the caliper and bled a bunch of new brake fluid though the system. Still seems to be running 10 to 15 degrees hotter than drivers side. This problem is not a constant issue sometimes it can go a week or so before heating up. I had an 04 explorer with a similar problem. Has anyone else run into this problem with their Explorer and possible fixes. Thanks
