Just bought a 2000 5.0 v8 awd for fooling around in the winter. dont plan on doing anything major to it, but i was recently at advance auto parts and i saw a thrush turbo muffler and it was pretty cheap. But when i asked if it fit the truck they said it's "universal." But before i buy it i wanted to see if i could get some opinions, and thoughts. 1. is it going to fit with out and crazy modifications to it? 2. do i go with thrush or cherrybomb.
and if you guys have any other suggestions on what to get please post them.
ps. not trying to spend crazy money

It's universal enough to work, you may just need to weld in a reducer to fit your factory diameter tubing, unless you plan on changing that out as well. Honestly I would save the money and do it right and get full cat-back exhaust, either custom or an ordered kit. You'll be a lot happier in the end.
