There is enough information to be found on line re disabling the double honk "feature" in 2016 and earlier, but only warnings that the same process doesn't work for the '17's.

I'm fed up with the double beep that happens whenever I get out of the vehicle, close the door, and have intentionally left the engine running.

My local dealer's service dept. has been very helpful in trying to resolve this. So far, they've determined that the double beep is a setting in the "As built" codes and the only way to disable it is for the technician to edit every line of code (re-enter the existing numbers) until he gets to the line applicable to the double honk, at which point he can change the code. Since the line is well-past the halfway point in a list of more than 200 codes, this will require significant time and effort.

Has anyone found an easier solution?

Double Honk

You can disable this with ForeScan

The correct code is
Double Horn Honk (Engine still running)
16-18MY BCM 726-41-02 xxx* xxxx xxzz 0=Disabled, 1=Enabled (Default)
11-15MY BCM 726-16-01 xx*x xxxx xxzz 0=Disabled, 1=Enabled (Default)
