Hey all

Im new here just signed up.

Heres my issue 2006 explorer 4.0 SOHC engine replacement. Old is out, new engine sitting on pins with a few bell housing bolts installed loosely also motor mounts bolted up loosely.

My issue is getting the engine to turn over to try and line up torque converter studs. Engine will not budge! Is it possibly binding in something? I need to get this thing done asap so any advice would be great. First time installing an engine in an explorer.

Thanks in advance!

where did the engine come from? If you cant turn the engine over, you have a serious problem. The bellhousing should not lock up the engine if you are exchanging like for like. Even with the tranny installed, you should be able to bar the engine over.
