1954 pickup

I'm new to this operation and I am looking for help! I'm working on a 54 pickup, w/fatman frontend, a triangulated 4bar on a ford 8" rear, drum brakes.
I have a 97, 302 explorer engine/AOD tranny sitting in this truck. I'm running out of money (I'm retired age 73) and looking to get this beast up and running.
The new wiring harness is costly, I'm thinking about going to a carb set-up.
Can anyone be specific and tell me what is needed and how to change this efi
to a running carb set-up.
