Ok, Last week i got some 16x8 american racing baja's and some 255/70/16 mastercrafts, and they're rubbing. Now, the weird part, is that they only rub in REVERSE. I can turn the wheels all the way and drive forward in circls with no problem, but if i do something like back out of a parking space i get rubbing. It kinda seems like it rubs for a spot, then if you keep turning past that spot it'll quit, but i havent had much of a chance to play with it. Does anyone have any ideas? This is on a stock 2001 XLS 4x4 btw.

Thanks

Matthew

Never heard of rubbing only in reverse. But the logical answer is that the wheel offset isn't compatible with your Explorer. Wheel/tire rubbing is very common with aftermarket wheels on Explorers, so you're not alone.
