Hi everyone! I have a 2015 Explorer Sport with about 100,000 miles. Just recently we have started hearing a pop or clunking sound coming from the steering/front end when turning right or when the wheel spins to the right after taking a left turn. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas what the cause might be?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Jack it up on both sides of the front, get under there with a bright flashlight while someone is turning the wheel, and observe direction of sound and excessive movements.

It's probably a tie rod end or the CV axle, the latter being something that won't pop if the vehicle isn't moving but you can check the CV boots for tears.
