Hi guys. I need some verification. Im replacing a tranny on a 2005 mountaineer 4.0. I cant get the tranny to mate up to the engine. Ive tried everything. i even pulled the engine to mate them on the floor. i cant get the damn tranny flush with the engine. very close but not flush. it seems when i tighten all the bolts the crank dont want to turn but if i loosen a couple of them it turns..... running my vin it calls for a 4L2Z-7000-BBRM to be in the vehicle, but the junkyard tranny i got is a 4L2P-7000-BB. Do you think that the tranny is not the correct one? or are they interchangeable???? HELP!!!
Why wouldn't you have verified it was the same tranny prior to installing? Call Ford on that one I can't help with those part #'s to know the difference sorry!
Make sure you have the torque converter all the way in properly lift it slightly and rotate it until the drive flanges on the converter slip into the pump push in slightly as your rotating
