Good Afternoon!
I conceder myself a basic backyard mechanic and recently got a Used/New to me! Explorer!

I have a vibration at a very specific 35mph and 70mph speed. I sense it through the Steering Wheel and Pedal, but will drive it again to verify the seat or backend feeling... Since I'm new to the explorer world I thought I would gain some insight first! Has anyone ran into or heard of a fix!?


My Specs are:
2014 Ford Explorer Limited with V6 and 4WD

If it happens more during braking I would suspect a warped brake rotor. If not, more likely a bent rim or damaged (including unevenly worn) tire, or a tire balance weight that fell off, any of these on a front wheel.

If you've been offroading or hit a random object (rock, etc) on-road, perhaps a bent driveshaft. This is not an issue unique to that generation of Explorer AFAIK.

If all else fails, pull the wheels and inspect the front suspension.

Did it come with new tires?
Have you had the wheels/tires checked for proper balance?
